Its headquarters is in Palo Alto, California, with offices in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and South America.  The company's major commercial competitors are IBM, Oracle Corporation, and SAP AG.

In addition, TIBCO offers the message-oriented middleware products Rendezvous and SmartSockets (from Talarian acquisition).
